Ghost Jam 2026 results
The results of Ghost Jam 2026 are in!
This year, we had a total of 17 ghosts submitted by 24 participants. Of those ghosts, 4 completed the 72 Hour challenge, 12 completed the New Assets Only challenge, and 4 completed the Add An Extra challenge.
The optional theme for this jam was "silence", and there are a variety of interpretations among the entries! We encourage you to check out as many of the ghosts as you can, and send some kind words to the developers who made these ghosts in just a week or less!
Additionally, there was an interesting trend that manifested all on its own. Historically, most English-speaking ghosts have been written in the SHIORI (ghost programming language) called YAYA. Some developers have explored other SHIORI in the past few years, but YAYA has remained dominant in this community, and almost all jam ghosts have been created in it up to now.
That changed this year. Out of 17 total ghosts, 9 were written in YAYA, 3 were written in Kawari, 3 were written in Aosora, and 2 were written in Satori. That's 9 YAYA entries to 8 other-SHIORI entries, meaning YAYA was only used for about half the ghosts; a dramatic shift from previous years! Some of the folks who made these ghosts were trying out SHIORI they'd never used before, on top of the usual challenge of Ghost Jam, which is an impressive feat.

ゴーストジャム2026 結果
「Ghost Jam 2026」の結果が発表されました！
今年は、24名の参加者から、合計17体のゴーストが投稿されました。そのうち、4体が「72時間チャレンジ」を、12体が「新規アセット縛りチャレンジ」を、そして4体が「エクストラチャレンジ」をクリアしました。
今回のジャムにおける任意のテーマは「silence」でしたが、応募作品には様々な解釈が見られます！ぜひできるだけ多くのゴーストをチェックし、わずか1週間、あるいはそれ以下の期間でこれらのゴーストを作り上げた開発者たちに、温かい言葉を贈ってください！
さらに、自然と現れた興味深い傾向がありました。これまで、英語圏のゴーストのほとんどは、YAYAと呼ばれるSHIORI（ゴーストプログラミング言語）で作成されてきました。ここ数年、一部の開発者が他のSHIORIを試す動きも見られましたが、このコミュニティではYAYAが依然として主流であり、これまでのジャムで作成されたゴーストのほぼすべてがYAYAで作成されてきました。
しかし、今年は状況が変わりました。全17体のゴーストのうち、9体がYAYAで、3体がKawariで、3体がAosoraで、2体がSatoriで作成されました。つまり、YAYAのエントリーが9件に対し、その他のSHIORI系が8件という結果となり、ゴーストの約半数しかYAYAが使われていなかったことになります。これは過去数年間からの劇的な変化です！これらのゴーストを作成した人の中には、ゴーストジャムという通常の難関に加え、これまで使ったことのないSHIORIに挑戦した人もおり、それは実に素晴らしい成果と言えます。
