—— What is Etc. Jam? ———
Etc. Jam is an event where you make almost anything ukagaka-related besides a ghost! Balloons, plugins, guides, etc.!
If you've never made a ghost/etc. before, this may be a good way to try it out by making a small project. And if you're already a developer, then this may be a chance to try something new, or complete a side project that you've been meaning to get to!
Completed projects will be shared on this website, and promoted on Tumblr, Ukadon, and our wiki at the conclusion of the event!
Additionally, any participants who are a part of our Discord server will be awarded with the @Etc. Jam 2025 badge, and given any appropriate contributor roles such as @Balloon Maker and @Guide Maker.

- You may either start from scratch, or use a publicly available template from our list of approved templates below.
- Premade assets are not allowed as a part of this jam; all assets must be newly created.
- For SAORI and Plugins only, free and publicly available libraries may be used and are not considered to fall under 'premade assets'.

- Entries containing NSFW or other sensitive content are permitted, but must be properly tagged, following the guidelines below.
Note that submissions that are found to be breaking these rules may be disqualified, even retroactively.

—— Approved templates ——
List of approved templatesThis spreadsheet is a list of all the templates we have approved for use in this jam. If you know of another publicly available template that you would like to use for the jam, please contact us in advance so that we can add it to this list! There are contact links at the bottom of this page.
Templates that are not listed on the spreadsheet are not permissible to use.
—— NSFW and other sensitive content ——
The rules for NSFW/R18 and other sensitive content follow the rules of our server:
1. We do not allow content that endorses pedophilia, promotes harassment, is discriminatory/hateful, or breaks the laws in your country.
2. We require that entries with NSFW/sensitive content are clearly marked as such when submitted. The distribution page must also have visible content warnings/tags. The following tags must be added if they apply:
Nudity, Sexual content, Gore, Politics, Religion
3. While not required, there are additional tags we recommend so that users may navigate your content safely. The following is a non-exhaustive list of recommendations:

—— Challenges ——
Looking for an additional challenge? Here are some things you can try to push yourself during this jam! These are completely optional, and they do not provide any additional badges within our server (though they will get a note on the event results page and our wiki).
48 Hour Challenge
How much can you get done in just 48 hours? Submit at least one entry within the first 48 hours of the jam to qualify for this challenge. Note that submissions for this challenge cannot be updated after the 48 hour period has ended, until the jam is complete.
Variety challenge
How many types of projects can you do for the jam? Submit at least two entries of different types (for example, a balloon and a guide) to qualify for this challenge.
—— Timeframe ——
This jam will begin on Friday, March 14th, at 12:00PM EST, and end on Wednesday, March 19th, at 11:59AM EST.
IMPORTANT: This event is starting and ending at noon EST, not midnight. This is a 12 hour time difference from previous events. This is for logistical reasons, due to moderator schedules at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please use the timers provided below to make tracking the time easier.

Countdown timer for the end of the jam
If you are participating in the 48 hour challenge, the end date for that is Sunday, March 16th, at 11:59AM EST.

—— Submission form ——
As with Ghost Jam 2024, we have now opened this event to submissions from anyone, regardless of if they are a member of our Discord server. To facilitate this, submissions are now accepted through a Google form.
Etc. Jam 2025 Submission formThe information you list in the form will be used exactly as it is written. Please double check that you have written everything correctly, and contact us if you have any questions. Feel free to look over the form in advance of the event to be aware of what you will need.
Please make note of the format we have requested for names and credit links. That information is how you will be listed on the event's conclusion page. Due to constraints on moderator time and energy, we may not be able to reach out individually to entrants who fill this improperly, so please follow the instructions carefully.
Any names given without a URL for crediting will be listed by name only. If you want a URL attached, please make sure you provide one, and check that it is functional.
All submissions must provide a publicly available download link. This can be a link to your creation on a personal website, a hosting service such as Github or Nar na Loader, or a social media post. Direct download links such as DropBox, Mediafire, or Google Drive are not acceptable.
The only exception to the public download requirement is for those in our Discord server. If you wish to keep your release within the server only, you may link the Discord message of your release in the submission form, and your entry will be listed as being server-only.
Please note that while server-only submissions will be listed on the wiki page for this event, they are not eligible for their own wiki pages unless they get a public release.

—— FAQ ——
Q: Can I keep working on my project after the event?
A: Yes! The project you make is yours to do whatever you will with. Any event restrictions are lifted as soon as the event ends. Have fun!
Q: Can I bundle a premade font with a balloon?
A: Yes. So long as you are not violating the font's license (by redistributing a paid font, etc.), it is completely fine to bundle a font with your balloon and is not considered "premade assets".
