Needle Day

Needle Day is an annual event which occurs on November 11th, or 11/11. It was chosen for being the “pointiest date”, suiting the aesthetic of Needle. The event is not formally organized with rules, but instead, the developers of Needle (Galla and Zichqec) release an update on the day, and new shells may be released for download as well. Fans of the ghost sometimes submit additional shells of their own.
2022
The very first Needle Day, being the first 11/11 to occur after Needle's release in Ghost Jam 2022. Needle v1.1.0 was released, and two shells were released by the developers. These releases are when the term “Needle Day” was coined.

2023
The second Needle Day was the first to be anticipated, and be planned for well in advance. Needle v1.1.1 was released, and 11 shells were released by the developers. 4 additional shells were released by fans of the ghost shortly after the update was released.
2024
The third Needle Day was the first to have releases for the day besides shells for Needle.
On November 9th, Galla and Zichqec presented a pseudo-crossword game in the Ukagaka Dream Team Discord server. If the crossword could be solved by the community, a new balloon would be created for Needle. The puzzle was solved, and so the balloon Needloon (readable) was created.
Beyond this, the shell Needkly was created for Skrunkly, which depicts Skrunkly with Needle features. The shell Needle Dog was also rereleased, and made publicly available for the first time.
