MAKOTO

MAKOTO refers to a program that performs additional shell-side processing on scripts, before they are displayed by the baseware. This may be used for a variety of things, including changing which surface numbers are called, adding in extra characters that are not present in the base ghost, replacing certain words, and much more. It is the predecessor to the OnTranslate SHIORI event, though it may still see use since it is shell-side, while OnTranslate is ghost-side.

MAKOTO is usually distributed as a .dll file, but certain ghost languages, like YAYA, may also be used to make MAKOTO.
