Paper
Paper is an original character by Galla and Zichqec, made into a ghost for Ghost Jam 2022 with the help of The Gibbous. It was made in the last 24 hours of the jam, starting with no template. It makes use of multiple pre-made minigames, which are the focus of the ghost.
It has no interest in idle conversation, instead engaging the user in random minigames every so often. Double clicking the ghost will start a random minigame, whereas rubbing the cursor on the ghost (“drawing” on the paper) will bring up the menu, and the user may select any minigame they like.

Features

Minigames
Once the user has started a minigame, they will be unable to close it without deliberately quitting. The number of games quit will be tracked by Paper in the stats menu.
Word Search
The user is presented with a 10 x 10 grid of letters, and a list of words hidden within the grid. When a word is found, the user must click on the starting letter for that word, then click on the ending letter. The word will then be highlighted, and crossed off the list of possible words.
Other English words may exist by coincidence within the word search. These do not count for the game and will be treated as incorrect answers.
It is also possible for some words to be nested inside each other, such as Blossom and Blossoms overlapping. Highlighted letters can still be clicked and used as valid moves in the word search, so long as the letters strung together form a valid word off the list.
Hangman
The user is presented with a series of underscores, indicating letters that are still unknown, and an input box that they can type letters into. The user will be allowed to guess one letter at a time, or attempt to guess the entire word all at once - with the caveat that if they guess wrong they instantly lose.
The user is allowed 6 mistakes before the game ends in a loss.
Jumble
The user is presented with a set of scrambled letters, and an input box. They must correctly guess the original word.
Rock Paper Scissors
The user must choose between Rock, Paper, or Scissors. Paper will also choose one of these three options, and then the results are compared. Rock beats scissors, scissors beats paper, paper beats rock.
Paper will display an appropriate icon for which option it chooses each round.
The stats for that session will be displayed after every round. These stats reset when the game is closed, but the overall stats will still be tracked in the stats menu.

The word lists in Paper change dynamically. Below is a list of what factors there are word lists for.

- Month
- Day of the week
- Day of the month
- Day of the year
- Week of the year
- Meals (4 lists that last for 6 hours each)
- Hour
- Minute
The only word that is not dependent on these factors is Disaster, which is always available, and was the theme from Ghost Jam 2022.
Balloon
Paper uses the balloon Paperboard, which is a clean, edgeless balloon with large spaces for minigames to fit. The paperclips that decorate it match the paperclip dressup that Paper has.
