Etc. Jam 2025 was the third Etc. Jam to be hosted by the Ukagaka Dream Team. The “Etc.” refers to ukagaka-related content that is not ghosts, including balloons, guides, plugins, and more. The event encourages participants to try making something new they have never made before, or to become first-time developers with a smaller and easier to manage project.

This was the first of the Etc. Jam events to have the rules hosted on a website outside of the Ukagaka Dream Team Discord server, thus opening up the event for anyone to participate, regardless of whether they were a member of the Discord server or not. The event rules have remained available on the original website, and can be viewed in their entirety there.

The event retained the optional challenges from previous events. The “variety challenge”, where developers qualify as meeting the challenge by submitting at least two entries of different types (e.g. a balloon and a calendar skin), was kept unchanged. The 24 hour challenge, on the other hand, was relaxed to 48 hours instead.

Two other changes came with this particular event. Previous Etc. Jam events were hosted towards the end of the year, but this event was moved to the beginning of the year, with the stated intention being to continue hosting it early in the year before Ghost Jam. Additionally, due to constraints on moderator schedules, the timeframe for this event was shifted by 12 hours, with all deadlines and most announcements happening at 12 noon in the host's timezone, rather than 12 midnight as had been typical in prior events.
